Meet the Team in 90 Seconds – Emma Montgomerie
Introduce yourself…
I’m Emma, Head of Employee Experience at Wilson Partners. I’m a mum to 2 boys, Stanley (3) and Arthur (2) with a third baby on the way. Outside of work family life is very busy! My husband Aaron, the boys and I love spending our time outdoors, whether that be woodland walks, climbing mountains or camping. I’m pretty active overall, being a keen crossfitter for the last 7 years.
Describe your role at Wilson Partners
As Head of Employee Experience, my role is all about people. My focus is on understanding what motivates our team at Wilson Partners and creating an environment where people feel valued and have every opportunity to develop their career as well as having a great work life balance. Everything I do, is about making sure the employee experience is second to none.
Ask one colleague to describe you
“With her bubbly and positive personality Emma is just great to work with. She has a terrific can-do approach, highly experienced and is passionate about her job to ensure she makes a difference, it’s all about the people! Whatever is thrown at her she deals with and keeps smiling (preferably with chocolate biscuits to keep the energy levels up!!)” Jo Goggin
Favourite drink in the office and out of the office
In the office I’m pretty boring and probably drink more water than anything else! Outside the office (and when I’m not preggers) I’m a big fan of a nice red in the winter or a good Sav Blanc in the summer… you also can’t beat an ice cold G&T!
Favourite Film
Tough one, I love the oldies so either The Lost Boys or Terminator 2
Favourite Hobby
Crossfit or just being outdoors with the family
What cause/charity do you support?
My little boy has just been diagnosed with autism so I’m now really focused on doing everything I can to support autism awareness and neurodiversity.
Favourite Food
I love all food! But if I had to choose it would be a really good curry
Favourite Country/ Holiday
I spend a lot of time at my mother in laws villa in Turkey so this is definitely top of the list for family holidays but I think the best trip pre children was Valencia. I’d love to go back, even if just for the food!
Cats or Dogs?
Definitely dogs, although I’m holding off adding one to the family just yet. 2 toddlers, a newborn and a dog might just tip me over the edge!
Thanks for sharing Emma. You are one busy lady!
