Giving back

At Wilson Partners, we believe that every business has the opportunity to be a force for good and we want to lead by example. We’re determined to have a positive impact not just on the wider community in which we operate but on the world too.  Every time someone does business with us, something great happens in the world.

To make this a reality we have partnered with B1G1 – to enable us to realise our ambition to make a positive impact on the world.

Our initiatives commitment:

Projects to support and the UN Sustainable Development Goals that are impacted:

What is B1G1?

B1G1 is a social enterprise and non-profit organisation with a mission to create a world full of giving. Their point of difference is that they help SME’s like Wilson Partners to embed everyday giving into our daily business activities and operations, creating unique and powerful stories along the way. That means that every single business transaction we undertake goes beyond our business goals and targets and makes a real difference elsewhere too.

Through B1G1 well over 2,000 businesses (and counting) have collectively equipped villages with access to clean water, provided essential medical treatment, medical equipment, supplies, nourishment, education and training to thousands of people worldwide.

We also continue to work in our local community as well.

The Prince Philip Trust Fund makes a real difference to the quality of life of people from communities across the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead. Established in 1977 as a grant-giving trust, the organisation focuses on disability, health, the elderly, families, children and young people, those in social need and the arts. One of the Royal Borough’s best kept secrets, they’ve distributed over £2 million in funds across 1600 causes in their 40 years’ establishment and are behind a number of key charity events in the area including:

  • The Windsor Half Marathon
  • Windsor Jaguar Car Festival
  • Ascot Race Day

We have longstanding, strong relations with The Prince Philip Trust Fund and actively support the fundraising activities. Ross Wilson, has been involved with the Trust since it was set up in 1977 and has been a Trustee and Treasurer for many years.

Daisy’s Dream supports children and their families who have been affected by the life threatening illness or bereavement of someone close to them. The charity offers a flexible service, tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and their family. This may include:

  • Telephone support and advice for parents, carers and professionals
  • Home and school visits for the child or young person
  • Group events
  • Training for associated professionals

We want to be a chapter within Daisy’s Dream’s journey and we actively support their fundraising activities, either individually or as a team.

MUFC (Maidenhead United Football Club)

Sport has a big role to play in the community, not just in bringing people together but in the positive benefits it can have on both physical and mental health. In Maidenhead we are lucky to have MUFC and have long admired the role they play in the community. That’s why we not only sponsor the club but also collaborate with them on fundraising initiatives for causes in the local community.
