Driving your business forward – just like driving a car!
We often speak about the importance of having quality management information or management accounts, especially in a growing business. The following analogy was used during a meeting with a new prospect which sums it up well:
Running a business without quality information is like driving a car without a fuel gauge, speedometer or rev counter. You may well get to where you are going (assuming you know where you’re going!) but without the indicators to show how fast you’re going, how much fuel is in the tank or how quickly you’re accelerating you will not get to your destination as quickly or as safely as if you had access to a full dashboard of information. Good quality, and timely, management information allows you to confidently make decisions about the future of your business. If you don’t have this you simply won’t get to where you want to go as quickly or as safely. If getting reliable, quality financial information is an issue for you then you should make it priority to take control and reduce the risk associated with growing your business.
