Meet the team in 90 seconds – James Feast
Introduce yourself…
Hello, I’m James (or Feastie) and I am an Audit and Accounts Trainee at Wilson Partners. I grew up in Hertfordshire and went on to study Maths and Philosophy at the University of Bristol.
I joined Wilson Partners in March 2021 and I am nearly part qualified through my ACA exams.
Describe your role at Wilson Partners
I work in the Audit and Accounts team, carrying out audit work and year-end accounts for a variety of clients. I also have gained a fair amount of experience assisting our clients in company secretarial work.
Ask one colleague to describe you
“James has been an integral part of my time at Wilson Partners, beyond being a colleague, James has become a good friend. After seeing him in the sticks in 5 a side I could have sworn it was Peter Schmeichel in disguise, a man of many talents you could say (if only he could transfer some skills onto the golf course). Beyond his technical abilities, his approachable and friendly demeanour makes working together an absolute pleasure. He’s always willing to lend a helping hand, patiently explain concepts, and share knowledge to elevate the skills of those around him. His mentorship has been invaluable, and I can personally attest to the significant improvement in my own abilities thanks to his guidance.” – Kieran Mistry
Favourite drink in the office and out of the office
In the office – A black coffee from the Nespresso machine
Out of the office – Lager or a nice glass of white burgundy if I’m feeling fancy!
Favourite Film
Very basic but it’s probably The Shawshank Redemption (or Manchester by the Sea if I am allowed another choice)
What cause/charity do you support?
One of my favourite charity’s is the Alzheimer’s Society – my mum worked there for a good part of my childhood and it is a cause that has affected my family so definitely a charity that feels close to me.
Favourite Food
I have managed to develop a bit of a reputation in the office for the amount of sausages I have per week – whether that’s sausage rolls, bangers and mash or even saucisson sec… and I would have to say it is indeed my favourite food!
Favourite Country/ Holiday
My favourite country has got to be France. I would go there quite a lot during my childhood and absolutely love the culture and exploring around the country – it also helps that my partner Esther is from Paris, so there is always a good excuse to go there with her! My favourite holiday is going on a staycation down to Padstow in Cornwall.
Cats or Dogs?
It’s cats for me. Although I think I would like to have both in the future, I just need to figure out how to look after myself first…
One thing that most people don’t know about you
I have a powerboat license, for whenever it may come in handy!
