Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice
Fiona and John Devine set up Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice in 2007, after the death of their precious first-born child from a brain tumour. Identifying the need for such a service in Berkshire, and being inspired by Alexander’s braveness, kindness and strength, the charity was created. Now, 15 years later, the charity offers children with life limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, the specialist care and support that they need.
Alongside residential and activity rooms, the children’s senses are engaged through the hydrotherapy pool and sensory garden, which stimulate imaginations and promote connections with one another. Many of the facilities are a necessity for the development of children’s abilities, care and education, under the encouraging guidance of specialist nurses.
Fundraising is ongoing for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice to continue supporting and providing its exemplary facilities. The funds ensure that the most appropriate and recent resources are available for the children. Wilson Partners is committed to raising funds for such an inspirational charity through a variety of demanding activities that our team have challenged themselves with.
