About me
Helping clients define and achieve their goals is the fun bit of the accounting profession.
I was a Partner within the Mark Holt & Co practice before becoming part of Wilson Partners in 2024. For more than 40 years I have worked with clients of all sizes, across many sectors, but particularly Construction, Leisure and Tourism, Care Homes, and various Wholesaling business. The common theme of all these clients is an ambition to grow the business, a desire to build and protect their wealth, and wanting to pay just the right amount of tax.
I have run many projects focussed on growing bottom line profits, and as a result of that experience wrote ‘Pricing For Profit’, (available on Amazon) with common sense guidance to help anyone involved in running or managing a business, to understand the key issues around pricing techniques. As a result of this, I have also presented across the UK, Europe and the US on pricing matters, to all sorts of businesses and organisations, both at live events as well as webinars, for as few as 4 and as many as 400 people at a time! Helping clients define and achieve their goals is the fun bit of the accounting profession.
With 4 Kids and 3 grandkids, family takes up a lot of my time, with rest the rest spent on travel and DIY. I love nothing more than a project, whether installing a new kitchen, building a deck, or perhaps one day, building my own house!
